Abstract
182,479. Zimnic, C. June 28, 1921, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Spindle apparatus.-A braking-device for bobbins in a spinning-machine comprises a threaded base-ring 3 secured to the bobbin frame 2, a brake-ring 5 provided with a fibre friction ring 6, and a threaded pressure-ring 9. The bobbin 4 is coupled to the brake-ring 5 by two symmetrically-disposed pins 7 which engage recesses 8. The braking action is due to the friction between the inner surface of the ring 9 and the ring 6, the resistance being adjusted by screwing the ring 9 up or down on the base-ring 3 by means of a rod 10. A lubricating-space 11 is provided.
