Abstract

432,170. Twisting - apparatus for imparting two twists per revolution. BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK AKT.-GES., 12, Mohrenstrasse, Oberbarmen, Wuppertal, Germany. Feb. 7, 1935, No. 4007. Convention date, Feb. 17, 1934. [Class 120 (ii)] In double - twist twisting apparatus the holder 4 for the stationary bobbin and the upper part 3 of the spindle are detachable from the lower part 1 which carries the wharl and are adapted to be frictionally secured thereto during operation, as by a cone 9, whereby the bobbins may be changed and the yarn threaded without affecting the drive. The upper part 3 of the spindle is suitably slotted for the passage of the yarn, and is provided with segments 11 between which the yarn passes and about which it may wrap or unwrap in accordance with any variation in the supply causing it to lag or advance relatively to the spindle.
