Abstract

248,309. Fr÷hlich, F. Jan. 25, 1926. Bobbins. - A bobbin for a knitting or like machine comprises a cylindrical upper portion a and a conical stepped lower portion c, longitudinally slotted at e, to receive bars f which extend beyond the surface of the bobbin. The bars fare held away from the bottom of the slots e by a grooved disc g. After the thread b is completely wound, the disc g is removed and the bars f withdrawn to relieve the thread tension. The portion a is preferably covered with fabric, rubber, or the like.
