Abstract
181,550. Lautenschlõger, W. April 18, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Fuel, feeding.-A stream of atomized oil issuing from a flat-ended tube a forms the igniting flame for an annular stream of pulverized fuel and air issuing from between a tube d and a tube E. Air issuing from the tube d separates and assists in the combustion of the two fuel streams. The pulverized fuel is delivered from a hopper to the tube E by means of a mill M and is discharged from the tube by air passing through apertures in a flange t on the tube d from a low pressure air supply pipe O controlled by a valve P. The oil is supplied to the pipe a through a valve B and is atomized by steam supplied through a separate pipe or by air by-passed from the pipe O through a pipe S fitted with a cock R. A control valve K is fitted in the tube d.
