Abstract
175,593. Lott, C. Feb. 17, 1921, [Convention date]. Motors, controlling. - The electric driving motor of a gramophone has its field coils 35 provided with tapped windings and a switch is provided whereby any desired number of windings are brought into circuit to adapt the motor for currents of varying voltage and periodicity. The switch comprises a disc 10, graduated for voltages, which is rotatable beneath a plate 12 having openings 11 graduated for continuous currents or for currents of varying periodicity. The disc 10 is fast with a spindle 32 carrying a spring yoke 13 which is rotated to bridge opposite pairs of contacts 33 which contacts are connected to the field coils 35 of the motor.
