Abstract

510,373. Motor-operated switches. JONES, R. Aug. 2, 1938, No. 8870. [Class 38 (v)] Upon the circuit for motor M being completed, solenoids C<1>, in series with the motor, lift armature G' to bring the rack B' into engagement with spindle S whereby the crossbar N raises the spindle B carrying the contact A<1>, to complete the main circuit over contacts A. As the spindle B reaches its final postion, insulated projections E<1> open and close respectively contacts A', A<2> to break the circuit of motor M and solenoids C' so that the rack B' is retracted by springs T and falls until the crossbar rests on stops Y', contacts A<2> completing the circuit for holding magnets C.
