Abstract

175,165. Peacock, A. M. Jan. 5, 1921. Lids and covers; contents, delivering; boxes combined with powder puffs.-In a box or container having a circular opening closed by a lid 2 which is retained on an annular flange 5 within the box by projections 4 extending inwards across the opening, the lid is hinged or foldable across its centre 3. By turning the hinges clear of the projections the lid can be lifted to fold about the hinges and thus to clear the projections and be removed. The lid may carry a powder puff 2<a> on its underside, and powder may be contained in the box below a sifter screen 10. A wire 11 or equivalent may be arranged across the box to remove any excess powder from the puff as the lid is turned for removal.
