Abstract

Lids and covers.-The rim of the cover of a box or container for polish &c. is provided with a tab 4, preferably integral therewith, depending below the bottom of the body tc facilitate removal of the cover. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the tab is constituted by an upwardly bent part 6, a downwardly bent part 7, and a second upwardly bent part 5, the free end of the last-mentioned part taking into a transverse groove 8 formed in the part 6. The part 7 is stiffened by longitudinal stamped-up ribs 9. The tab may, however, comprise a single unfolded stiffened member, Fig. 3. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 165,589.
