Abstract

327,215. Lofts, S. E. Jan. 15, 1929. Stoppers, bayonet-joint for containers of the type having a metal stamping secured to the body and having an inwardly extending ledge, for seating a tagger-disc or sealing ring. Means are provided whereby on rotation of a lever lid 7 relative to the neck portion of the container, the lid is forced downwardly therein. The neck portion 2 is provided with inwardly extending projections 6 which co-operate with projections 9 on securing the lid 7. A rubber packing ring may be provided on the ledge 3 or in a recess under the rim of the lid. A tagger-disc &c. may be inserted in the recess 16 at the lower edge of the projections 6.
