Abstract

319,574. Laughton, G. A. Feb. 16, 1929. Lids; fittings, internal.-A powder box is fitted with an internal ring C of L-section the upstanding portions d of which provides the projecting flange over which the hinged lid fits, and the integral spring tongue f having a catch g which holds the lid closed and a thumb-piece h by which the tongue is depressed to release the catch from the lid while the lower portion ! l of the ring is slightly dished so as to seat snugly upon the bottom of the box. The portion d may also be slit to form tongues to hold a lining or inner container in place.
