Abstract
175,105. Harvey, J. B. Nov. 24, 1920. Moulds; cylinder machines.-In machines for moulding concrete blocks &c. in which the moulds rotate about a cam so as to cause pressure plates to consolidate the material, the moulds are arranged to open so that the blocks may be removed by hand. The moulds are mounted on plates 14 on arms 5 carried by castings rotating on the shaft 3 and the material is compressed by movable plates 7 actuated by the cam 4 through rods 12 and rollers 13. The position of the plates 7 and the compression of the material may be adjusted respectively by nuts 10, 11, and movable sleeves 26 fixable by set-screws 27. The remaining parts of the mould comprise L-shaped castings 15, end plates 16 locked together by pivoted bars 18 and supporting the castings 15 by means of projections 17, and removable pallets 21 carried on brackets 22.
