Abstract
152,114. Vickers, Ltd., and Buckham, Sir G. T. July 5, 1919. Moulds.-In machines for moulding concrete blocks, agricultural pipes, &c. of the type in which the moulding occurs in a box with cores, the cores are first extracted by a movement of a hand-lever, further movement of which raises the pallet 'board to clear the block from the mould. The cores d are adjustably fixed to a cross-head g adapted to be slid along the machine bed to insert and extract the cores by lever gear l, n operated from a counterweight shaft o to which an operating handlever is fixed. A lever s fixed on the shaft at an angle to the lever n is adapted after sufficient lost motion for the cores to clear the mould to operate a roller t carried by rods v attached to members e in the mould, and which support the pallet board, and then to raise the block clear of the mould. The rods v slide in bearings attached to the machine frame.
