Abstract
167,173. Picot, G., and Besson, M. July 27, 1920, [Convention date]. Rotary-mould-table machines.-A machine for moulding building-blocks &c, comprises moulds a, b, c rotatably supported upon a collar 9 of a column 8 and a press plate 6 operated by crank mechanism and adapted to compress the material in the mould a against a top plate 11 secured to the column 8 and to guide-rods 7. Bottom plates 14, 15 are inserted through slots in the lower part of the moulds to support the material and are retained by dogs 18, the material being covered by a top plate 16. Cores 17 carried by the plate 6 work through holes in the plates 14, 15, 16; the cores are formed with pointed upper ends to cause a transverse compression of the material. After pressing, the blocks &c. are discharged by a lunger 12 carried by the plate 6 or supported by the mould and each block is removed, between the plates 14, 16, on to a polished table 19 as shown in Fig. 6, and subsequently transferred to the drier, the plates 15 being returned to the moulds. The blocks may be discharged downardly.
