Abstract

Moulds ; stationary-mould machines. - In a machine for moulding concrete blocks of various sizes having two opposite side walls of the mould movable to and from each other, the end walls s are fixedlv mounted on the frame z while the side walls k are adapted to slide between the end walls on outwardly extending flanges and are locked in position by means of set-screws l, t passing through slots m, t<1>. The bottom plate g is raised to remove the moulded article by means of the plunger d, which is operated by a wire rope running over pulleys c, e and tightened by the handle a, and is made circular to allow the plate g to be rotated in its upper position so as to rest on the walls of the mould. Intermediate plates attached by screws p, and pallets j of the dimensions required, may be mounted on the bottom plate g and may be recessed and have grooves and projections to correspond with those on the side walls. If the material is to be compressed the mould may be provided with a hinged lid and tripping mechanism as described in Specification 119,206.
