Abstract

168,267. Christmas, W. Oct. 27, 1920. Moulds.-In a brick-moulding machine of the kind in which a mould has a false bottom supported by a ram, an outer casing 1, 2 is adapted to receive a variety of sides and ends 8, 9 to form the mould. The adjustable sides 8 are spaced by grooves 4 in metal strips 3, are kept from springing apart by spacing-pieces 11 and filling-pieces 12, and fit into recesses 10 in the ends 9. The bottom of the mould is formed by a plate 13, preferably recessed, and, when raised to remove the finished article, can be turned so as to rest on the top of the mould as shown by the dotted lines.
