Abstract

174,819. Scott, W. H., and Davis, R. H. Dec. 1, 1920. Disc wheels consist of a disc b formed integrally with one half c of the rim, an annular member d bolted thereto and forming the other half e of the rim and a hub a cast around the central opening of the disc, holes f being provided in the disc through which the cast metal flows. The disc is preferably corrugated radially. The annular member d may be made with a flange for a, skid brake and the hub may be cast with a groove for the reception of a brake band.
