Abstract

Hubs; suspensionspoke wheels; spokes, securing. -In wire spoke wheels, the spokes are anchored to a narrow portion of the, hub so as to form sets diverging towards the rim. In one construction the spokes 3 are secured to a ring 8 housed in annular recesses 7 of two discs which are secured together and to the hub flanged by bolts 5. In another construction, the inner ends of the spokes are secured to the peripheral flanges of two dished discs secured together back to back and to the hub flange In a further modification, two groups of spokes 3, 3<1> are secured to a flange 10 of a dished disc 2. The spokes 3<1> lie on the central line of the rim.
