Abstract
204,272. White, A. E., (Bethlehem Steei Co.). March 13, 1923. Disc wheels. - A metal wheel comprises two flanged bars, the webs of which are cut to form inwardly projecting spokes 4, 4', 5, 5' and the flanges of which are bent to cylindrical form 3, 3<1> and are secured by welding or otherwise to the rim 2. Alternate spokes are bent to bear against an unbent spoke of the other disc and the inner ends of the spokes are attached to a flange 7 on the hub 6, and to a separate flange 8, distance pieces 12, with sleeves 14, being fitted between the discs.
