Aug. 3 Disk wheels; suspension-spoke wheels.-A disk d, Figs. 1 and 2, on the hub, formed with a rim and tangential spokes, is connected to the road rim a by a single or double series of wire spokes e, or rigid spokes f, which are arranged tangentially so that in the highest position they lie between 75 and 80 degrees to the ground. In a modification, the spokes, hub, and rim form an integral casting; the spokes are connected by webs between alternate pairs, and are slightly, curved.
