Relays with multiple contact springs. - In an electromagnetic relay of the ' knife-edge armature ' type, the core-extension b carries an adjustable frictionally-held sleeve a, carrying a lip c which projects through an aperture in the armature d and provides the bearing c<1> for the armature knife-edge d<1>. The sleeve a may be pressed or formed from sheetmetal, preferably magnetic, and may be designed to grip serrations e<1> on the core-section. The extension may be either laminated or solid, and may be formed in one with or separate from the core proper. The armature may also be laminated.
