Stropping-apparatus.-A stropping-apparatus for the blades of safety razors comprises a bladeholder c adapted to slide'in a cage or frame a, a<1> between the parts of a double drop o, the cage carrying two pairs of guide rollers m which co-operate with the strop to strop both sides of a single or double-edged blade. The cage comprises two sections a, a<1> connected together by guide pegs n, which may be provided with screwed ends and nuts f, and spring or elastic washers y to give elasticity between the sections, or spring clips embracing the two sections may be used for this purpose. The blade is held between the two parts of the hinged or folding holder c which is positioned in the cage by a stop s and is carried from one pair of rollers m to the other as the cage is reciprocated along the strop, the motion of the blade-holder in the cage being limited by the pegs n or other stop provision. The holder may be modified to take two single-edged blades or one pair of rollers only may be used for stropping a single-edged blade.
