Abstract

170,403. Degory, E. H. July 20, 1920. Addition to 161,226. S p r a y carburettors.-The carburettor described in the parent Specification is modified by providing a connection between the main and supplementary fuel passages. The main passage b from the float chamber a delivers into the horizontal enlargement d and is controlled by a valve c. The supplementary passage e delivers adjacent the throttle valve, and is open to the atmosphere through an aperture which may be regulated by a valve g. These passages are, according to the invention, connected by a passage h, which enters the enlargement preferably in advance of the valve c. This valve mav be a screwed needle or, in a modification, an adjustable plug with a number of radial holes, the plug being removable for cleaning while the engine is running.
