Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-The nozzle 2 has one or more lateral orifices 21 and may be turned about its axis by the wheel 8 to direct the fuel on to a water or air-cooled part of the combustion chamber. The nozzle may contain a spirally grooved plug 12 for whirling the fuel which may be put out of action and the fuel allowed to flow through a by-pass 18 when the nozzle is in a certain position. The nozzle may be used for injecting water.
