Fluid-actuated valves.-A valve for controlling the connection between a high-pressure astern turbine and a low-pressure turbine exhaust comprises a fiat disc 1 mounted on a stem 2 which carries a dome 5 on the opposite side of the seating. The dome is provided with lugs 6 which limit the opening of the valve, and a ring 10 projects upwards into the dome. When the flow of steam is in the direction to seat the valve, the closing pressure is augmented by the pressure on the inner side of the dome.
