Abstract
164,589. Booth, W. A. I. April 30, 1920. Holders.-A holder comprises an insulating- body a., Fig. 3, fitted with contacts c and provided with an interrupted screw-thread on opposite parts which are separated by gaps b, a cap e, Figs. 5 and 8, provided with depending parts e<1> adapted to be slidden into the grooves b from one end thereof, a lamp socket d, Fig. 4, provided with parts d<1> adapted to be slidden into the grooves b from the opposite ends, the parts d<1>, c<1> serving to make a complete screw-thread with the threaded parts of the body a when the members a, d, e are assembled, and a threaded ring g serving to hold the parts together, as shown in Fig. 1. The cap e may be constructed for suspension by cord-grip or batten devices, or for screwing to a bracket, or as shown in Fig. 8 as an adapter for insertion in a bayonet-cap holder. According to the Provisional Specification, the ring g serves only to hold the parts a, d together, the body a having a continuous thread at one end upon which an internally-threaded cap is engaged.
