Abstract

322,423. Geyer, K., and Ulbrych, F. May 28, 1929. Holders.-The body 1 of a holder for screw-cap bulbs is made of insulating material and is fitted with a screw-threaded metal socket made in sections 2, 3, separated by a gap 11 so that the fingers cannot come into contact with an electrically live cap while inserting a bulb into the holder. The leads are connected to a plug 4 having a screw-threaded metal shell 12 for connecting one lead to the socket part 2, and a central contact consisting of a conical nut 18 threaded on a bolt having an insulating head 14 by which the second lead is clamped in a recess 13 in the plug. A suspension loop 22 is attached to the plug, and is gripped with the leads 19 between clamping-plates 25, 26 connected by a screw 27. An outer metal casing 6, which may be formed with or carry a shade 10, is threaded on to a part 5 of the body 1 of the holder.
