Abstract

163,395. Puilin, C. G., and Groom, S. L. Jan. 15, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Bolts; locking bolts.-A bolt is formed from a length of tubing, one end of which is spun, pressed, stamped &c. to form a mushroom head 2 with a hollow underside, the other end 6 being threaded. The head may be flattened on two or more sides for use with a spanner. To prevent turning of the head when drawn against its seating, the flange 2 is slit at 3, 3, the tongue 4 being pressed inwards so that its end will extend slightly beyond the rim 5 of the flange and grip the seating or enter a recess in the same. The tongue may be rectangular with teeth formed on the end to bite into the seating.
