Electric radiators. -In an electric fire having imitation fuel p illuminated by electric lamps and provided with flicker-producing devices, a heating- resistance q is mounted above the fuel on a support r hinged or otherwise movable so as to allow access to the conactions. A second resistance s may be fitted to the front of the grate. In modified fires having flat backs, the upper resistances may be mounted. or. two panels hinged at the sides, or on a single panel hinged at the bottom. A solid or openwork shelf may be provided above the resistances, or means may be provided for holding the resist ances horizontally to heat a cooking-vessel. The resistance supports may be mounted on the fire by means of perforated lugs instead of hinges. The resistances may be mounted on a metal,. brick, fire-clay or earthenware back which is independent of the fire proper. Specifications- 108,097 and 135,779 are referred to in the Provisional Specification.
