Abstract

113,204. Scott, C. H. May 12, 1917. Gas cooking-stoves.-A grilling and boiling etove comprises a gas-fire in an open-topped box-like body surmounted by boiling and plate-warming grids. The stove shown consists of a body with a door b<1> and sides b<2> hinged at b<3>, and with notches b<6> in its upper edges to receive bars f carrying hooks, or their equivalent, for suspending food in front of vertical incandescent radiants c. The rear corners of the body have lugs b<7> in which are rotatably situated the post h supporting the plate rack h<2> and a similar post supporting the boiling-grid i<2>. These are stiffened by oblique struts and may also be supported by hinged struts, such as i<5>, when they are swung over the open top of the body of the stove. The sides of the body consist of tin-plate, enamelled iron, or like reflecting material, and may be removably fastened instead of being binged as shown. The back e of the gas fire may have projections or studs all over its face.
