Abstract

219,233. Harbord, A. E. Dec. 3, 1923. Oil cooking-stoves; baffles; ovens; casings.-A hot-plate stand for use with oil stoves comprises a hollow box structure 10 with an apertured top 11, there being a fixed central baffle 12 which divides the interior into two parts and diverts the heat from a lamp placed below the opening 10<a> equally to each part. An oven may be placed over the central opening 11<a> in the top plate into which passes heated air through apertures 10<c> and 12a. The oven comprises four hollow sheet-metal sides 14, 16, 25 and a top, constituting an air-jacket, engaging one another by channel-joints 16a and secured by four bolts 22. The top of the oven is perforated and provided with raised studs 20 for supporting dishes, and in the front is a transparent window 15.
