Abstract

160,531. Midgley, A. H., and Vandervell & Co., Ltd., C. A. Dec. 19,1919. Switchboards.-In lighting switchboards for motor-cars &c., the terminals of one polarity are mounted on a bus-bar held in position by the ammeter terminals, the bus-bar being preferably split into two portions for this purpose. An ammeter a is secured to a face-plate b, the ammeter terminals f<1>, f<2> carrying a bus-bar base c of insulating material being interposed. The two portions e<1>, e<2> of the bus-bar are mounted on the base c and connected to the ammeter terminals f<1>, f<2> respectively, terminals 2 - - 5 of one polarity being mounted on the base c and. connected to one or other of the portions e<1>, e<2>. Other terminals, such as the terminal 1, which are not in electrical connection with the bus-bar, may be mounted on the bus-bar base c.
