Disc wheels.-In wheels of the kind which have detachable rims secured in position by the expansion of the body of the wheel, the periphery of the wheel body is continuous and engages the rim by means of corresponding projections and recesses. The preferred construction comprises a pair of stamped metal discs 2 dished so as to be spaced apart at the centre and secured together at the periphery. Radial corrugations 20 are stamped in the plates and extend to the periphery so as to allow expansion thereof when the discs are forced towards one another at their centres by a nut 40. The ribbed parts 20 are slightly shorter than the general radius of the periphery leaving upstanding parts 23 which engage a recess 10 in the rim. The inner disc is secured to the hub flange 3 and has a conical extension 24 which closely fits over the nut 40.
