Abstract

177,072. Gunsallus, A. April 11, 1921. Spring wheels. - A spring wheel has curved spokes 11 hinged to the rim 9 and held in radial slots in a member 7. The member 7 is in halves accommodated in a groove 6 in the hub, and has plates 15, 18 secured by fastening- means 19 to its sides to prevent lateral movement of the spokes 11. A ridge 16 on the plate 18, which may be in segments, enters notches in the spokes. The plate 15 may have a flange 20 forming a brake-drum.
