Air, treating.-An apparatus for purifying air in rooms &c. comprises a fan A which forces the air down a funnel tube B the lower end of which dips in water or in a purifying or disinfecting liquid in a reservoir C. Propellers D mounted in opening in the lower end of the funnel are rotated by the draught and spray up the liquid into the air stream. The air passes again to the room through the openings 2. A closed reservoir E supplies fresh liquid when the level falls below an opening 4 connecting the reservoirs C and E. In another form, the funnel tube is not bent, the fan rotating in an horizontal plane; the reservoir E is omitted.
