Abstract

Air, moistening.-A tank a in which liquid is maintained at a determined level by a float control on the supply system has a rotary unit comprising radiating tubular arms b extending from a central body c which has a dip pipe e. The unit is caused to rotate at high speed liquid being drawn up and ejected on to the tank walls and air being drawn downwards and carrying off the finer particles of atomized liquid. Differently sized nozzles may be fitted on the dip pipe or the liquid level may be altered to vary the amount delivered by the arms, which may be directed upwards or downwards instead of horizontally. A filter d is arranged round the dip pipe.
