Doors, van and like.-The rear portion B, Fig. 1, of the roof or cover A of a motor van or lorry is adapted to slide from the open rear end of the vehicle over the forward portion. A recess C, Fig. 3, is formed near the edge of the sliding portion to accommodate a roller F, which runs in a channel C<1> on the top of a vertical flange G. Steel plates H, I, and a flange J protect the parts, and a duct K drains away water. A flap L is hinged to the rear of the sliding portion and is adapted to be turned over on the top of the sliding portion when it is slid forward.
