Abstract

333,615. Watson, J. May 17, 1929. Hoods for road vehicles, motor boats, &c. comprise a cover adapted to be rolled up to uncover the roof portion and to be secured at its side edges when closed by means of the fasteners described in Specification 129,622. The cover D is secured to and separable from the cant rails F by means of fasteners E mounted in stringers secured respectively to the cover D and the cant rails F and adapted to be operated by a cam member e<2>. The front edge of the cover D when closed is secured to the windscreen frame Band to the rear of the body at d<1>. The cover D may be rolled up to any extent and secured by straps &c. leaving an opening in the roof and also down the back if desired.
