Abstract

Hoods for motor vehicles comprise a roof fabric r supported over the body by a series of slidable roof sticks a, b and over the rear portion by a pair of pivoted roof sticks p, the slidable roof sticks a, b being secured in extended position by readily releasible fastenings and the roof fabric r being permanently attached to the rear of the body, to the pivoted roof sticks p, and to the front slidable stick a, but not to the intermediate sticks b, and, when extended, to the side edges of the side frames d by fastenings t. The slidable roof sticks a, b are arranged to slide on rails c carried by the side frames d, and the intermediate sticks b are secured in position by releasable spring fastenings k. The cover r is adapted to be rolled up and supported on a detachable bracket u, Fig. 2, at the rear.
