273,930. Rotax (Motor Accessories), Ltd., and Dudley, A. Sept. 10, 1926. Hoods and weatherscreens. -Hoods comprise a completely removable roof piece made for the greater part from flexible material and including a rigid rear member adapted to be attached to the upper edge or edges of a frame or frames forming parts of side screens, the forward edge of the roof being detachably connected to the upper edge of the windscreen. The hood or roof comprises a rigid rear portion l, Fig, 3, covered by flexible material k which is adapted to be extended to and secured to the windscreen o and intermediately supported by removable hoop sticks w, p. The roof is detachably supported on side screens d, e, f removably supported on the vehicle body. The rear screens d are at the rear curved so as to extend partially around the back, the space intervening between the screens d being connected by a flexible portion i, Fig. 4, the top part of which may be let down. The forward portion of the roof may be folded back on to the rigid portion as shown and covered by a cover 5 and the roof unit may be removed and supported at the rear of the body. In a two-seater car the hoop stick w is omitted.
