Couplings for tractors.-A coupling adapted to transfer part of the load of a four-wheeled trailer to a light tractor has a draw-bar 15 pivotally mounted at the front end of the trailer A and connected to the tractor B by an eyelet 17 engaging a pin 18 on the tractor and mounted between a pair of springs 33. A pulley 25 mounted in the front end of the draw-bar carries flexible and adjustable ties 26 connected to pivoted struts 27 on the trailer, the struts being also connected by ties 31 to the trailer front axle or some other part below the springs. The struts may be dispensed with, the ties being connected direct to the trailer axle or a corresponding part. By means of a pointer 35 mounted on the lower spring 33 and working in a graduated slot, the adjusting-devices 28 in the ties can be set so that the required load is transferred to the tractor.
