Collapsable vessels.-In life-boats having collapsable bulwarks the end portions of which are lifted down for stowing, fastening-means, such as levers or turn-fasteners 3, 3<a>, are provided on the coamings 1 to secure the end sections 2 in their erected positions, as shown in full lines. When taken down, these sections are stowed, as shown in dotted lines, in recesses 4 strengthened by plates 5. Hinged folding sections or stems may be provided at the fore and aft extremities of the hull.
