Fuel, feeding.-Coal dust which may be mixed with air is delivered by a pipe a into the hot gases issuing from gas burner nozzles d or into a stream of hot waste gases from another firing, and the mixture passes on to the combustion chamber. Air is supplied to the gas burner through a hit- and-miss valve f. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also a modification Fig. 3 (Cancelled), in which the coal dust is supplied to an annular chamber surrounding the valve f through which it passes with the air supply. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
