Abstract

Armatures and field magnets, cooling; cores.- The rotor of a dynamo-electric machine comprises two cores 1, 2 with a space between them open to atmospheric air and a single substantially straight rotor winding embracing the two cores, the central part 6, 9 of the winding acting as fan blades to supply cooling-air to the machine. The usual special ventilating-fans, core ducts and the like are dispensed with. Specification 141,116 is referred to.
