Abstract

155,236. Saussard, L. Dec. 10, 1919, [Convention date]. Addition to 142,097. [Class 102 (i), Pumps &c.]. Radial-cylinder and revolving-cylinder pumps. -In a pump of the kind described in the parent Specification, the shaft 7 carrying the actuating eccentric 17 is hollow and divided by an oblique partition 27 into two chambers 8, 11, communicating respectively with the inlet 9 and delivery 6, and also with the pump chambers through ports 19, 20 in the shaft. The inlet end of the shaft may be packed and lubricated by oil in a chamber 29 in the bottom of the casing 1. The oil is forced by the pumped gas through a duct 30 to the bearing of the shaft and returns through a. chamber 14 and passage 32. The shaft may be stationary and the casing 1 revolve, or the shaft and casing may revolve in opposite directions.
