Lawn-mowers.-A grass-cutting machine comprises several units flexibly connected together and each consisting of cutting-apparatus, a heavy roller behind the cutter, and a frame surrounding the roller and cutter so as to protect them. In the form shown, the frames 3 of the two front mowers A are connected by chains 11 to a crossbar 8 on a tongue 7, which extends rearwardly between them. At the back, a rod 13 is pivotally connected with both frames and with the tongue 7. The frame of the rear mower B is connected to the centre of the bar 13 by chains 16, and to the frames of the front mowers A by chains 18 looped around them. Each frame is mounted on two or more adjustable wheels 4, 6 in front of the cutter 2 and heavy roller 1. Five or more mowerunits may be employed.
