Abstract
154,751. Kosok, F. Sept. 25, 1919. No Patent granted (Scaling fee not paid). Night latches and like spring locks.-The shank b of the latch-bolt a has a bevelled surface 1 overwhich the arm m of the follower l slides before engaging the abutment c by mean, of which it withdraws the bolt when the handle f is pressed. This keeps the shank b in the position shown in Fig. 2, out of engagement with the lever 2, and the lockbolt d remains withdrawn. When the door is slammed, a spring 4 presses the shank-abutment C into engagement with the lever 2 as shown in Fig. 3, lifting the tumbler e which releases the lock-bolt d.
