Abstract

1537213 Seals CARL FREUDENBERG 21 April 1977 [6 May 1976] 16581/77 Heading F2B A radial lip-type elastomeric seal 2 is formed in its reinforcing metal housing ring 1 with a groove in which an elastomeric static seal ring 2À3 is loosely arranged or vulcanized thereto, the groove having radial apertures 2À2 whereby the elastomeric ring 2À3 may be formed with an elastomeric retaining ring 2À1 interlockingly connected therewith via the radial apertures 2À2. The lip seal 2 is radially inwardly biased by the usual garter spring 3.
