1534765 Air cleaners; heating charge GENERAL MOTORS Ltd 18 Jan 1977 [22 Jan 1976] 02467/76 Heading F1B [Also in Division F2] In an I.C. engine air cleaner a pivotal valve member 5 is manually movable between a position, shown in Fig. 3, for normally blocking cold air-flow from an inlet 3 and a position for blocking warm air-flow from an inlet 4, a flap 10 or plate (14), Fig. 5 (not shown), being movable to allow flow from inlet 3 when the valve member is in the Fig. 3 position and the pressure downstream of the valve member has fallen to a low enough sub-atmospheric value.
