Abstract

1531576 Tape measures KYOTO MEASURING INSTRUMENTS CORP 26 June 1976 26734/76 Heading G1M A winding drum 3, Fig. 4, has a flange 5 which is pressed by a dish shaped spring 10, Fig. 2, against a stepped part 6 of casing 1, 2 so that the drum turns always with a constant frictional resistance. A winding handle 14 and knob 22 may be raised from its housing groove 13 and rotated through 180 degrees to a winding position when the tape is to be re-wound, and the pullring 18, Fig. 5, is housed and clipped into a recess 21 in the case when not in use so that the tape is bent and thus urged back into the re-coiled position.
