Abstract

1465067 Tape measures RABONE CHESTERMAN Ltd 21 Aug 1974 [6 Sept 1973] 41925/73 Heading G1M A spring re-coil tape measure has a lock blade brake member 15 which may be slid up and down by a button 21 to cause a part 24 to abut or free the tape. When the tape retracts, the part 24 acts as a flexible buffer to the tip 14. In a modification the buffer part may be mounted resiliently e.g. by springs on or in the housing and may be quite separate from the brake member. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1383697.
